A downloadable game

ELITE PLATOONS.

A shooter, homage to a few favourite games of mines. Blending them all into a game I would like to see. From classic's to modern, just to see if it works.. I have created so far enough levels and objectives within the game for a tech demo. But I still have a few bugs regarding the enemy vehicles to sort out to name one. You can have a look the video link for the most recent video. If you dont see a video there, it will be uploaded shortly.

Inspiration is mainly Cannon Fodder 1 and 2, Warhawk. I wanted to blend both of these while adding a few things I would have liked to see. The tech demo will have 20 missions, each adding something new, be it, enemies, weapons, vehicles, objectives. One large map, which I wanted to have almost everything I have created inside it, that would take a good while to complete. Capture the flag mode. Which is working pretty well. The enemies will need to be refined a little more as the video will give you an idea of the coding I need to do for them.

CONTROLS.

The player mainly uses the mouse. Right button for moving. Left for firing. Middle button for entering and exiting vehicles and the 50 cal machine gun. Pressing both the left and right buttons together will throw the grenade.

I will be adding more alternate controls for this game. Keyboard and gamepads for sure. It isnt hard, but I know its frustrating when you prefer one control system over another. So I will be adding the other two for the release of the tech demo. 

OBJECTIVES.

RACING. CAPTURE THE FLAG. ESCORT SOLDIERS & PRISONERS. KILL ALL ENEMY.  DESTROY BUILDINGS. CAPTURING ZONES. SIMULATION: WAR! (This is essentially a one player Battle Royale). I have a lot more to add and complete. But most of what I want has been drawn and just need to be added into the later stages. I have 14 left to do. Also I need to add the trees to all the levels. 

ENEMIES.

Basic enemies are in blue. They run around, fire at you, lob grenades and rockets to you. Enemies in red. Will either be controlling the 50 cal machine guns. The red enemies will also be the main opponents in CTF matches. Enemies in yellow, their main objectives is to secure all zone points in the stages. They will continue spawning in via the Chinook until all zone points have been taken by the player. They will then hunt the player down with all the weapons the player has.

VEHICLES

JEEP. TANK. 50 CAL GUN PLACEMENT & FIGHTER. 

These will essentially work as you would expect. The fighter is being coded to be similar to Warhawks style. Some coding is still needing done on these until im happy with it. I am drawing the sprites for these last, I think these will take the longest to complete. All vehicles will sink in water. If you land in the water with the fighter, you will be thrown out and it will explode like the other vehicles.

More information about the tech demo will be added as I near its completion.


NOTE; Project has changed and no longer in development. All sprites and code learned moved to my battle royale 2d project. I will however edit the demo and upload it.
